Arse end is in a bad way. Finding someone to lower its been a nightmare. If I don't get someone sorted and soon, standard hight are going back on the front.

Started getting a knocking going over speed humps from the drivers side, checked the drop links and found this:

Even though I'd replaced the drop links a few weeks ago I had to replace one again. Now replaced and all is good again.

Moral, buy cheap buy twice!

Just a quick update.

Painted the grill on the front of the car and its looking good:

Old look

Painted grill

Old vs New

New look

The difference it's made to the car is massive, I'm really please with the way it turned out and how it looks on.

Thanks to Bedford for the tips on painting, really made the difference from a shit amateur job to a ok/good amateur job.

Need to get that milky looking fog sorted out next.

Fairplay something so insignificant as that grill has made a huge difference to tidying up the front end.

Quick update, got myself a Supersprint centre section and back box and fitted them today which took an hour. Should have been quicker but I rounded a nut so I had to cut it off with a hacksaw as there was no room for a cutting disc.

When I was checking for it blowing after I'd finished I noticed a few pin holes at the bottom of the pipe coming off the cat. Quick trip to my pals garage and a couple of welds, job done.

Next is to fit some Apex shocks all round which I got cheap, while I'm at it a new clutch is going in as the release bearing is making a right racket. No point in leaving the old clutch on if I've got the box off. Got two new drive shafts and seals as well. Should be in good order for winter coming.

Cheers, for a car I just wanted as a run around has turned into a hobby. I had no plans to do anything but I got ideas and one thing led to another.

Just bored today so done some pre-winter prep.

When I had the car on a ramp last week getting my exhaust done I noticed there was some surface rust under the boot floor. Since this is a rust got spot I thought I'd get it sorted out.

Quick wire brush from the old angle grinder, some crust and a good lick of under seal and it should be good for the rest of the life of the car.

I was prepared for loads of residue to clean off but it came off really clean, must have just had the right temperature on the hair dryer.
