After some knob head smashed one of my rear clusters I bought some smoked jewel ones and they look alright. Not quite sure on them but they'll do for now.

looks good! though i was gutted you painted the underside in that awful black tetroseal stuff! That stuffs for old rotbox's to mask rust and get them through an MOT
This is so clean i would have taken the exhaust off and maybe even the beam, then rear bumper, wire brushed and prepped then sprayed the underiside that oem beige colour again.
Then painted the beam, would have looked new when you peeped underneath.
Mine was pretty bad on my old VTR, i left the beam on and just did the boot floor but it came up like this.
Still looked like that the day it was scrapped :')

Fuck me that is clean.
The thought had crossed my mind to do that but I just didn't have the time to do it. Ive been trying to get a new clutch in for weeks and it's just not happened yet. With winter round the corner it just had to be done otherwise I ran the risk of it getting worse.
Still it'll keep it good until I'm ready to get shot of it and by that time it would probably only be worth scrap anyway.

Update on some work I done this week.
After having my first pair of Apex rear shocks stolen because DX thought it would be a good idea to leave them behind a plant pot I sourced another pair and got them fitted. Second hand but there fine.
Also fitted some Apex front inserts I've been meaning to put on for a while. Again second hand but were never used.
Now got Apex all round, I know there no Gaz or B8's but for what I use the car for there perfectly fine and within budget.
Since I had the front struts off I changed both drive shafts with some J&R ones Bedford & Prickle recommended. While I was at it I put new drive shaft oil seals and some fresh gearbox oil, old stuff looked a bit manky.
Biggish jobs I wanted are now done so hopefully I won't need to fuck about in the winter. Only thing which I'll be doing now will be the valve clearence and that'll be it till next year.

Looking good mate, always nice to see a look after saxo. Looks very tidy and we'll worth what you payed. I payed 1100 for a 02 saxo, 1.1 had no problems with it and was like you going to keep it standard but went out the window when I got another car so I could experiment with the saxo.

Couple of changes, not much:
Got a VTS Interior, was a bit grubby and smelled a bit. After a clean it came up good and smelled fresh. Got some front head rests which I'll stick in the back as it looks a bit better.
New set of plates as the old ones looked really tatty. The old ones were peeling and helped the motor look old and tired.
Filled the blanks on the centre console with some VTS switches.
A Spare VTS alloy so I have the right size spare.
Finally I hit 51,000 miles.
Got the car booked in to get the rear end lowered. Been a long time waiting.

I'll go to race wright, just waiting to see what my shifts are next week. Not too low, just 40mm to match the front.

Some mong hit my car when it was parked outside my house, apparently a car was oncoming so she swerved and swiped mine. Missed the car in front and the one behind.
Going to need at least:
A new wing
Arch trim
Bumper painted
She wanted to go through the insurance so I'm not going to moan as she's accepted liability. As she hit the wheel I need to get the steering checked.
