You probably know but just incase I'd point it out, the screamer pipe is bolted onto the wrong flange on the wastegate..

Also, if I were you I'd order a softer spring (5-7psi) and control boost with the gizzmo, this will give you more scope and allow you to bring the boost on a little smoother if you wanted to.

cheers mate not to clued up on spring rate for these just thought that if i run a minimum of 1bar that 10psi would be ideal

10psi would be workable but you don't have the option to run less, if you have a 7psi spring then you can run that in the wet or something.

A smaller turbo might not be as bad but for me I don't really want all that power in at once

the biggest I'm planning on going is gt25 mate, atm I'm just looking to finish once its built and ready for mapping ill look at spring rates and see whats best,hopefully since its a 8v ill be able to get away with it asit won't be making as much bhp/torque as a 16v

its all coming together now mate,

is that what the spring is standard on these? i thought they were 8 lol, as danny sais youll probs be better off with a lower spring, im not running electronic so i just keep mine on full all the time

but since youve already opted for a gizmo you may aswell use it to its full potential, then you knock it down to 6-8 or so when not blipping about, better for fuel and will pro long your engine life

They would of been but I only had them on to go to the mot station then took them off so I could sort the brakes/mounts been sold thankfully so it'll just be a case of dropping in the new setup and I'll be ready to go

Andy I'm just going off what the guy told me as it was off a r33 so just believed it but there is a few different setups with different spring rates available so it could be different, like I said to Danny I'll look into a lower spring rate once it's all ready to go as they don't cost mega bucks and very easy to change over

well guys first things first.. my single plug pred doesnt fit my single plug on the loom i thought vts/vtr used the same size plug ecu end but obviously not so looks like im going to have to sell my pred and get a vtr pred instead

(ill upload a pic to show to difference later)

So whilst i was in wiring mode i moved the main power fuses inside the car, fitted my relocation kit from battery (boot) to glove box, fitted my kill switch inside the box on the side part, mounted my distributor block in the bay and ran the cable through the grommet where the main power cables were, hooked up the fuse box to part of the dissy block and then hooked up the alt and starter lines ready for the engine.
I also fitted my 23mm m/c with some new shiny nuts whilst i had the servo moved.
sizing up and wires hooked up

Finished with iPhone/pod connector placed inside aswell

Dissy block and 23mm m/c fitted

Next step was to start getting the intercooler and the bumper sorted since my mounts are being made as we speak and should be hear start of next week

. I soon realised how big my intercooler actually is and that I was going to need a few more silicone bits and a few bits of the chassis chopping so the pipes will fit.
So on with the bumper i want as much air as possible in the cooler so out came the wizzer (yes thats right a wizzer

) and a hour later id managed to get a decent size hole cut out, the inner bumper chopped to match, the mesh fitted on top and screwed in place then mocked up around the rest (needs a good 3/4 bolt to hold it flush at the bottom).
Anyway i finished (ruffly) i will be getting it all smoothed out and fillered up so all the screws and edges will look tidy then the cooler and mesh will be getting sprayed black with the rest of the bumper being done icelandic

Oh and a few more bits of hose

There isn't a vtr Pred mate

I'm the only one running one afaik

You need to find a single plug quicky loom and get someone to change the chassis plug to the one your current loom runs, may have to change a few sensors if your still using 3 plug inlet... Can't remember if your running rallye inlet or not...and I'm on phone ATM

i was under the impression that the single plug ecu plugs were the same

when i spoke to andy he said yea it'll work i now realise it doesn't and I'm going to end up needing another loom and then sending if off again for the chop ffs

i used a single plug vtr loom with my splicing mate so I'm alright looks like ill need to find myself a quicky loom now

Won a set of constella gear linkages for £32 the other day and they turned up this morning absolutely fantastic quality much better than the kam/bakerbm or the x-racing ones.

Also won a vtr thermostat with housing for £8 so happy there aswel. I decided that I needed to rotate the turbos housing after a chat to gav so I can get the oil line return in like on the gt17 and get the oil drain so it faces straight down rather than on a slant like it was before, messy job but I did it and to top it off my mate Steff has said that his mate will make me a inlet flange for £20 to the size I want which is great as I can use that silicone bend that's the wrong size now

Changed the rear quarter windows to a spare set I had that don't have Saxp stickers on, managed to get all my French car show stickers fitted, took off some of the others and I think I'll get another Citroen total sticker to keep some of the originality.

Popped up to the garage to get my wishbones back, the guy still hadn't fit the middle bushes so looks like I'll be setting fire to them next week to melt the bushes out so I can get the new ones in ffs but the others have all been done which was nice since I didn't pay lol.

Back in collage next week till Thursday so I'm not going to be doing anything till then and hopefully my coilovers will be here along with a set of compbrake top mounts I ordered the other day (black square ones) So I can get the car back on the ground and maybe if the engine mounts have turned up get the engine back in along with the box.

Also bonus found a 3plug loom that's already had the splicing treatment so huge bonus

Glad you managed to sort the turbo oil feed to. did it end up getting persuaded with a hammer or what?
