Bargain hunter aswell haha. Fix the yellow one and sell it, i rekon you could make a good profit for it if you make it mint condition, it look like a really clean car.
It also looks like you have 3 saxos on your drive ? Fair play
|
That's the plan mate make it standardish, give it a detail and flog it on for around what I've paid and get my money back. Oh And the other Saxo was my forged N/A track vts that's gone to the scrap yard heaven now as I split it to buy a r33 skyline

The car starts, drives and locks doesn't have any tax or mot. I'm pleased to say it's a lot faster than my iTB'd vts and came a lot more modded than I thought. The mods are...
Cituning stage 1 turbo kit.
BTB exhaust system.
Mint condition half leather interior.
Smoked angel eyes.
Lowered 50mm on spax suspension.
Mocal 10row oil cooler with oil filter relocation kit.
A few gauges/timers and ice.
Wolf race alloys 15"
As you can expect it had some problems which are, key has snapped in the barrel (does still turn/start and unlocks the fuel cover) the pas pumps dead and the radiators dead.
These problems aren't a issue as I've got spares so plans are strip the mods/interior bar the alloys and the lowering kit, put standard parts on and fix the problems and sell it with tax/mot and recoup my money.
Then the Icelandic is getting treated to the boost kit, my 4pot hispecs, radiator hoses, half leather interior, boost gauges, metal gear linkages, new intercooler kit, a full service, double head gaskets and the bits it was going into the garage for. Depending on when my kms ecu sells get a pred or omex so I don't need to worry about going down the mf route
oh and i got this to play with aswel

Little bit new here, you got some bargains there! You thinking of selling some of the parts that you have on the yellow one?

I will be mate, things like the lights, strut brace, quick shift, and then either the saxsport or the btb depending on which one flows better

Right I've got a bit done since the last update.
With the yellow one I have managed to get the engine out, steam cleaned the engine bay, taken the btb off, found and removed a comp brake quick shift, fitted a standard gear stick and housing, fitted a new powersteering pump, treated the worst bits of rust, ripped out the interior, the boost gauge and the turbo timer, fitted a standard vtr interior in and replaced the pillars with oem Gray ones.
With the blue one I've only fitted the drivers seat and the turbo timer and boost gauge, I'm not going to fit the rest of the interior just yet as I want the nos lines to run under the carpet. Tomorrow I'll be taking the engine out the Icelandic and hopefully get it in the yellow vtr before it starts snowing
I'll upload a few pics later on the phone atm

I also removed the engine from the yellow one, i will be putting the icelandic engine in this and be doing a rebuilding of sorts to the turbo engine by adding a de-comp plate, new HG, cam belt, water pump, spark plugs, oil filter, oil, battery, alt belt, grp N lower mount and ill clean the green cotton air filter and oil it up
also a quick pic of the intercooler kit ive got to put on.

Will do mate
Just a little update ivebout a offer on a de-comp plate (9cc), a intercooler fitting kit, a set of twin slimline fans, new cam belt kit and water pump, new disks for the front and braided lines and ive also put a offer on a forged bottom end and a boost cam so hopefully that pays off.

Right the lad selling the forged engine turned out to be a stoned tosser that didnt have a clue and tried to tell me standard rods and a clean edge on a crank were forged and reground lol, can safely say he got told where to go.
I had a chat full of wisdom from Andy (blackie) which led me to withdrawn my offer on the decomp plate and instead i have now gone for a 2mm ferriday one as they're supposed to be made of alot better quality. i'll also be taking a catcam turbo cam and pulley off his hands to help me in my search for power .
I also got a 1.9mm MLS headgasket from gmc, a set of new spark plugs that will suit the nitorous and another lovely order for some engine/gearbox oil and some Motorsport grease/locktight/copper grease from opie oils.
