whats the difference between xbox live and ps3 network?
whats the difference between them? i currently have xbox live, quite happy with it, thinking of signing up for the ps3 network as it's free what can do on the ps3 network which is different to xbox one? help would be much appreciated.

xbox live you have to pay a monthly subscription which i think is abit crap when you have paid £50 to play a game that you cant play all of it. PS3 is free for all online games as well as free material like demos and trailers etc.
The ps3 version might not be the same scale as xbox live but its perfectly good

XBox Live is well worth the £40 as it works much better than the PS3 network. You also get the free demos etc aswell as being able to play online.
Funny that the PS3 owners always talk about how crap it is to have to pay for Live, but you never hear them moaning that they have to spend £30-£50 or whatever on a bluetooth headset to be able to speak to people in games, unlike on the 360 where you get a headset included...Hmm...

Or a HDMI cable etc... 
Xbox live is a lot better, gamerscore, profile etc..
PS3 online isn't upto a lot, but it's free, get what you pay for.

You don't need a bluetooth headset at all lol.. can get a headset for less than 15pounds if you look around.
*Yawn* 40 pounds for live, 0.00 pounds for Home.

Do you not get a HDMI cable with the PS3 either? LOL quality, so you've got to spend more money on that aswell. How do you communicate with others in the game without a headset?
And I'm aware that the headset only comes with the premium, but thats still a lot cheaper than the PS3, even the 40gb model.
How are you enjoying PS3 Home so far Cloud?

Yeah on my PS3 had to get a HDMI cable 
Prefer my xbox tbh

Home is good thanks thanks 
Again you don't need a bluetooth headset.. why because you can use a USB headset.. , They are pennys.. USB = Better Signal Quality anyway, I can live with a wire.

you cant really compare them, ps3 has only been out about 7 or 8 months and xbox has been out a couple of years so its more established than the ps3, the xbox was pretty dear when it first come out, wasnt it?

Remember this thread is about the online functionality of the consoles rather than all the features. For that reason the fact that the PS3 didn't come out till a year after the 360 and still didn't manage to be half as good online is quite shocking IMO.
Do you even use your 360 Scott? lol
