Unfortunately the rallye register site has been down for a few days so I can't contact the other buyer to talk to him, but I'll be honest, I'm really siding with Martijn right now.
Jay - I really think you need to deal with this. You're an adult so I'm not going to tell you what to do, but how it looks is criminal not accidental.

Yet again 100% proof that paypal 'Gift' is bollocks. Dont understand why anyone uses gift to buy things. I just bought an indicator for £10 i still did it as goods!

Martijn your pictures of your car dont really prove anything. But if you pm a mod.. ross? The email without the redactions itl be easy to find out where the email/user/photosender is based uk or otherwise. I believe you btw. But as you and the photo both have indigo ralkyes youl need to work a bit harder

I already have the other buyers details - Martijn sent me them already. The problem is contact is via the RR which us currently down. I want to help as best we can but realistically, there's not much I can do - if this turns out to be intentional (and it does look that way from where I'm sat - then it's a matter for the police tbh.

Just get the other buyer ( Guy who has the cage ) to take a picture inside the boot, facing the dash, as the OP has a left hand drive 106 and the UK lad will have a right hand drive. Simples

Totally agreed! Everywhere on PayPal it says BUYER PROTECTION bla bla bla. I never used PayPal to transfer money to another person, cause i never bought anything outside Holland that's not from a company.
I called PayPal last friday about this. The guy on the phone told me i couldn't do a chargeback. He then directed me to some page where it says private transfers can't be charged back. It was hidden somewhere. How the hell would i know.
If i knew you couldn't charge your money back on a private transfer i would've never done it.

truthfully, dishonesty in situations like this boils my piss.
i had a set of 17' Raceland RL7s stolen by a forum member who i trusted to respray them. (not this forum, it was way back when i was like 16 and building the p100) He seemed decent, i got to know him, then once he took the wheels he was gone.
i can honestly say i have never conned anyone or stolen a thing and i'm disappointed that people who seem like decent people on here would do this.
its something that simply shouldn't happen. If Jaylines so strapped for cash he shouldn't be throwing money at a heap of shit dream box.

Sadly this sort of thing is very common over forums. People assume post count means trustworthy

Ross if your having problems contacting people on rr,
If you want I can pm them been a member on there years and mines working fine?
But tbh to me this is how I thought it'd turn out.
If I knew id sent a cage for some one I wouldn't be so quick to just agree to a refund. I'd be hunting down 'mr random van man'.
This is even why I'll cover the fees myself just incase.

I don't get the site even load - just as off its offline?
Anyway - Martijn has given me the email address of the other guy so I can always email him in the daytime. I have a very important assessment tomorrow (exam) I need for work so can't stay too late tonight here and won't be in so much tomorrow during the day, but I'll check in to find out what's going on.

Same here sometimes. Then it loads flawlessly and then it seems to be offline for half an hour.

But it looks like he never sent it, thats what hes getting at, that hes given up pretty easy considering he has supposedly lost a cage to a white van man, Although i do agree. If i had sent something like that no way would I just give up and offer a refund.

In short. Jay sold the cage to both guys (fair chunk of cash, aye ) and the fella in the UK collected it and the foreign dude thinking wheres my £350 cage at!? There was no such thing as a "random van man" this was just a delay tactic and tbf who the hell would even give something worth that much to a random van man LOL anyway!
Holy shit. ibtl.
