Getting online with a wireless adaptor
Right I got my 360 two days ago, and I got the wireless network adaptor. I’ve connected it and the light has gone red on the adaptor. Every time I “test Xbox live connection” it says the adaptor is disconnected, but it isn’t! I have tried everything to get this working I have restarted my router and Xbox, disconnected the router and the adaptor on the Xbox.
I have called the Xbox support and to be honest he was to no help at all. He took my name and address and told me to test the connection and then said “ok Mr Allen thanks for calling have a good day” this was before he put me on hold for 20 mins
Seriously thinking about taking the adaptor back and getting a long Ethernet cable
Anyone else got a wireless adaptor? And how did you connect it

What network settings have you currently set? I would try setting everything to "Automatic" When configuring the new adapter, does it find your wireless network? The red LED on the back of the adapter means it cannot connect to your wireless network.

indeed i am - streaming media across 10/100 gets a bit laggy here with other traffic going about - especially when the server is getting backups from the other computers
