We've started work on the black Sax. The first job was to respray the front red splitter:
We also picked up a smooth and flush bonnet in Old English White from jodie_saxo's old Saxo:
And we started to remove the interior. We had previously rounded all the bolts so used an angle grinder to cut the brackets out.

Yeah. We had an issue with water getting in through the windscreen.

First of many haha. We were just about to put the wheel back on and drop the car down so the axle stands etc. had been removed. The only thing left holding the corner up was the trolley jack.

We're still behind with updates, but, since a few people have been asking, after two years the Gavin and Stacey Saxo is now back on the road.

Great to hear! Checked it a little while ago so glad to see it's still alive and kicking!

Random question - is it necessary to take the anti-roll bars out, or can the torsion bars be removed either way?

From my understanding, you don’t have to take the anti-roll bar out. We almost lowered the Icelandic without doing so. But it’s better to remove it if you can, as then when you put it back in you’re setting the ARB at the new, lowered height. If you’re lowering the car using only the torsion bars / via the spline method, you’re pushing against the ARB as it is still set at the standard height.
But this is only what I’ve read on forums and how it's done in the Saxo Max Power Haynes manual, there are loads of people on here that are more knowledgeable than me on this.

The wedding went well, the cars went down a treat and fulfilled their jobs of ferrying us groomsmen to the venue and playing our audio over the weekend.
Thanks for following PWS, we are weeks behind on the updates, so there will be plenty more still to post.
