Stereo wiring problem! Anyone?
Hi again, so posting this here as 'In car entertainment' section seems dead.
Just bought a Sony radio with short body.
Came with all bits needed for a supposed straight swap, but no, the radio won't hold any settings one day to the next!, but it worked.
Went on Youtube and found 3 videos ALL saying, swap the RED and YELLOW and it will cure the problem.
Tried it and its blown 1 or 2 fuses, so I now have a reset mileage, clock, no radio or central locking! Hmmm!
Haven't checked fuses yet, but am armed with spares. Just hope the 10amp mini one on stereo is ok as I don't have mini spares!
One video mentioned switching off 'demo' on stereo, which I know it has....does that help save settings?
Am I missing anything ekse here?
