I think ipad is a cool thing but TBH its a gimmick in my eyes. I have used a laptop as my main pc for a while now, Mainly because my old pc went boom and got old and i couldnt afford a new one. I had this current laptop in about 2003 for xmas... pentium 4 2.8 ghz. Its done the job for me over the years. Never failed but i mainly use my comps as Digital audio workstations and this just isnt good enough any more, therefore ive recently opted to go back to a desktop... a very powerful one, cant wait till it arrives. I just think theres more room for upgrading etc, Laptops are pretty expensive with limited upgradeability.

I normaly use a desktop but i need a new psu so im temp using a laptop, i cant stand it, my broadband is 10x slower when dowloading and playinga game or playing music it jumps or skips.
It a 1.6 duo proccessor 2 gig mem 80gb hdd
where as my desktop is a 3.2 quad core with 6gb mem 1gb graphics 500gb hdd
and internet so much faster can download a full film in 20 mins
so cant wait to get new psu as psu unit was the original 500w and i need min 800w

macbook and a desktop pc, usually both on at the same time...
i also remote access my PC from my iphone, and take my macbook when im away...

Desktop all the way for me. Built my own and it can be upgraded whenever I feel like, unlike a laptop
