Default !! 106 GTI into VTS 16v ?

Hey Ppl,

My car has recently had a few problems.. after breaking down on me in wales  anyways.. after a few looks and queries i have found out that it is in need of a new engine.. its running on 2 out of 4 cylinders..

I have been offered a 106 GTI engine, similar mileage as mine with service history.. will this fit straight into my VTS or will there have to be anything adjusted/modified ?

Regards,
Ryan

it will fit if you use the vts loom but the gti loom is slightly different and will need splicing into the main vts loom. just below the battery

Should be a straight swap all round IIRC, though best to swap the sensors over if any are different.
