Are my Gaz gold rear dampers faulty??
Basically, when I bought my 106... it came with a full gaz gold setup.
The rear end sat at a perfect height at the time....
The car has been sat a while now and I have noticed the rear end is allmost sat on it's arse?!
Is my axle knackered or my dampers??
I've had a damper off.... and I can push it in and pull it out easily enough.
Also, it will stiffen up fine when I adjust the knob.
But when I push the damper in, it doesn't rebound back out by itself. (I have to pull it out manually..)
Is this normal.. or are they knackered?
Thanks in advance

You can send the gaz golds back for a full service, cost me £60 about 2 years ago. If your car has dropped on its arse then I can see the problem being elsewhere, the damper is only really there to control the reaction of the spring (torsion bar). Is the car lowered and if so how much.

dampers don't affect ride height.
check the boot floor isn't bent.
