iPhone Battery Life - Saxperience

I got my iPhone yesterday and the women in the shop told me to charge it for 4 hours. I did that played on it a bit, went to bed woke up with a little bit gone.. playing on it this morning and put the radio on and its nearly gone ! from about 7.45 till 8.45 ! i didnt realise the battery's were so shit !

if you asked or searched before you bought it you wouldn't have had that surprise...battery is shit on iphone/ipod touch. worst if you play a bit on wifi etc...it drains the battery real quick

Mine lasts a full day and most days I'll be on facebook or some game during uni.

Best way to save battery is lower the screen brightness and turn 3g off when your not using it...

It maybe 'poor' in comparison to a normal phone but when you consider what you can do on the iPhone and what it actually is then it's not too bad.

It is like any device that relies on battery power, if you use it intensively then it will run out quick.

Mine only seems to run out fast if I rinse Tower Madness

Just learn to keep a charger handy and have one in your car. There is a car charger that has a little extra battery kit that you can carry around as back up which is cool.

I have my brightness very low and it's not too bad to look at or battery wise.

Its not too bad really if you were to leave it on standby all day it would last a week, the fact you probably never switch wifi off or 3G or lower the brightness, its always going to try connecting or stay connected to check mail etc. Also if your in an area where their is a low signal its always trying to get a signal which causes more loss of battery life.

^^ turn of mail tethering aswell if thats turned on, will stop it roaming about. or set it to do it every hour or so atleast.

But as said, its not just a phone it does so much more than a std phone does so will reuire more power, screen brightness at about 40% and even that makes mine last a full day with 3G turned on all the time...
