i listen to it so i can slate it more accurately , enemys closer and all that..
dubstep must have been invented when a dnb dj forgot to change his deck 45. its good bedroom music but think its a tad dull for clubbing.

lol i agree
too much of the same "jump up" style of dub going on, the other techier / "liquidy" stuff aswell as actual dub is half decent.. but i couldnt go out to a club with it on
thats how dnb was created too , cant remember what tune it was but years and years a go, a house DJ set his decks to 45 by accident, hence acid house was born, at the same time, people began sampling funk breaks and reggae etc, the two formed together and jungle was born

everyone seems to think the only producers in dubstep are:
skream
benga
chase & status
caspa & rusko
they forget about the likes of:
kutz
kode9
n-type
hatcha
starkey
neil landstrumm
cotti
clueKid
chefal
juttla
the bug
boxcutter
burial
the others
2652
pinch
d1
kromestar
i could go on forever... the dub scene's been around since the early 90s (true dub) that is, where it was reggae influenced beats with a UK twist, it stemmed from the jungle era and was a slower more "toned down" version, its only recently when all the mad wobble basslines got introduced that people want to listen. on the dubstep forum theres a huge call for it to return to its true roots

THEY are the ones , dubstep all the way!

my youtubes being gay chris, cant watch yet
i dont like dubstep to all concerned anyway lol. i used to when it was good, too much commercialism pushed me away from the scene (although i know more than most the underground is still strong)

I agree with AshleyP. A lot of people who think they are fans of dubstep are usually listening to Fabric Live 37 and don't delve deeper than Benga, Skream, Caspa and Rusko etc. There is so much more to dubstep than them, theres lots of sub-genres that are rarely paid any attention like two-step and fidget.
I have to say I disagree that dubstep isn't good at clubs, it just depends on what type of clubs you're talking about. Dub is at it's finest is in dingy, dark underground clubs with huge basslines and people who are there only for music.
http://www.getdarker.com/home/ is a good website to be introduced to dub. It has hundreds of mixes online and available to download and also has live webshows broadcasting the real stars behind the music
