Default PS3 Networking

Right...
I bought a PS3 last week and want to know what Router would be best to play games online on it..Now I made a topic on this ages agop but didn't get a clear answer as to which Router's are compatable with the Wi-Fi in the PS?!
Read somewhere that the Wi-Fi only takes speeds of 54mbps but that would be too slow right?! Or If I bought a 108mbps Router would it still work?

Taaaa
