Default Any htc desire experts?

Had my HTC desire for about 6 months, since I did the Android 2.2 update my phone has been sh*t! So to cut a long story short, the technical team told me to save all my crap on my SD card and then factory reset my phone which I did.

Put my sd card back in and all my photos and contacts were still there but the apps I saved to my SD card haven't re-appeared... checked settings>apps> SD card, and according to that I have no apps on my sd card.

But I definitely saved them to my SD card! Any ideas?

What version has it reset the phone back to? If its Pre 2.2, then Apps couldn't be stored on SD?

I'm going to assume its the same as iphone? As you basically do everything while logged in to your google account - if you download the ones you paid for... It should allow you to download them without charging you?

Apart from that, don't know mate
