My experience day they let me drive how i wanted!
They said i was the only one using the cones to guide me round the corners which sounds weird as you would think even the most idiotic drivers there would at least try to drive properly but no.
Got in a bit of trouble when i was driving the 911 GT3 as was holding up the ariel atom that was giving people pax laps
I would say the majority of them are worth the money though. Great fun

This was completely free so would be different to a proper experience hence didnt mind the guy! not many experiences you give £99 holding fee turn up have a go in supercars then give you money back! Was a special offer they did at too gear live show, but a log of the others got suckered in to going for 2 hot laps in the Ascari for £99 so didn't get deposit back!

He does sound a bit boring ,but he was giving alot of good tips on driving fast ,even though the car was not going quick .
driving quickly is all about smoothness ,not shifting weight about when entering a corner and having at least a light throttle back on as you turn in and then progressing the throttle as traction dictates and only apply more throttle progressivly so you do not have to back it off again in the corner you must master keeping the wieght shifts of the car to a minimum as you change direction and that means balancing downshifts +rpms+ throttle and braking all at the same time --sounds hard . just practice .
5/10mph quicker out of a corner is 5/10mph extra ALL the way down the next straight
I don,t profess to kow it all ,nothing like it
,but these things are the key to a fast lap ,thats why a car with less power can be easier to drive fast , more power always shows up any short comings in the car set-up + seem to magnify them

As it was free then shortshifting is not a problem. If i'd have paid I want to use the cars full rev range, otherwise you might as well be driving a shopping car!

Is it always short shifting to like 3k then? or are you allowed to go up the rev range a bit more? Might look into doing it looks like a experience to never forget!
