Thanks blackie_2k5, so in effect I just cut a hole in the bulkhead for my through joiner, bang some ends on a run of cable from the joiner to the starter, and then from the other side of the joiner the same

I think even I could actually manage that!

what battery boxes do you guys use in the boot for a standard battery size?ive heard the racing ones are no good
