Exactly mate. Just the niggly little jobs that you never get round to doing. All adds up.

Cheers Gavbey. Is your car an everyday car? I have driven the xsi a few times now and i don't think i would fancy it everyday especially without a sterio. But good as a weekend car.

Looks like a great improvement from std, this is exactly what I want to achieve with my westie, only problem is its my daily driver! Shame about the trouble with the mot but surely its better knowing and getting it all sorted sooner rather than later!!

Interesting read this, keep us updated

Another update!

After adjusting the rear brakes on the xsi beam, it didn't make much difference on the MOT rolling machine,

So today i did a 230mile round trip from Wolverhampton to Blackburn. I went and removed a rear disk beam from a MK2 VTR on 44k miles thanks to -Saxo_VTS- (Cheers mate!! will give you a shout if i need anything else)

Only took me and Brian an hr (Including a Coffee break - Thank your dad) and i left with:

Complete disk rear beam including brake lines & Shocks
Handbrake cables
Handbrake lever from inside car

Just a quick snap before i clean it up:

Well today i have been cleaning up the beam a bit, making sure the brake lines were all ok (Which they are) and i've started to free the torsion bars up while the beam is in the garage, saves the hassle when its on the car.

Just unsure if i should route some new brake lines from the MC to the beam through the car.

I also made my gauge holder, just need to wire the volt gauge in, AF gauge is chuffed so is only there to fill the gap until i get myself a oil pressure gauge

Cheers Alex, Yea its almost like Pug knew that space was going to be used for gauges!

Yea might just save myself the hassle and use the original lines i got with the beam. Might need to flare them under the car as i got annoyed an chopped the lines when removing the beam.
