No guide. You dont really need one lol

Just remove the PAS that you can see and the high and low pressure pipes. Have an old towel to catch any fluid that leaks which it will. Then do full lock from one side to the other reptitivley to drain any excess fluid out.

Then jut bung the holes up or screw bolts into them

Massively hard work without PAS. One of the things thats been an absolute must to sort out on our 205. Corsa EPS is coming along nicely, much lighter than the Saxo/106 pump type applications

ive been tempted to bin mine, 2 things tho

1, if you remove and screw a bolt/s into rack where pipework should be, wont it create a vaccum and make it worse than with fluid?

2, for those moments where the car is on edge of control and you just catch it from a spin, could i be quick and man enough without the rack?

id love to get rid of the extra 5kg or so + tidy up the bay, makes box/clutch changes easy when its not there

to do the job properly you need all the steering parts from a non pas car that includes the pedal box as they are dif .just removing the ram etc is not the same .
you shouls also alter the postion of the top strut mtgs ,as the castor angle is dif on non PAS.
I have run both on track car and as I have already said in first post big power stciky tyres you will want PAS if driving for more than 2 mins on the limit ---more camber ,more castor all adds to steering load

I was tempted to ditch mine but after driving an xsi for a while im glad i didnt. Plenty of feel with PAS and isnt heavy enough to justify the extra effort IMO.
