Great read, and a great project. love xsi's

This is shaping up to be a really good restoration. It will be nice to see when she's finished. The rear boot floor, did you use a spray gun for that? it looks very good.

Engine bay change is bang on - it looks cracking.

Love the "bucket seat"

Thanks a lot mate

The bodywork isn't the best....But that's the least of my worries ATM

The boot floor...

I didn't use a spray gun, I used a paint brush!! (I might get hate for this )

I used Hammerite 'direct to metal' smooth red paint.
It has set with a very very smooth and shiny finish. No paint brush streaks to be seen!! Tbh, it does look like it's been sprayed! That's how good of a finish it's got. very impressed!

Haha the bucket was just a temporary I'm afraid as I got no seats ATM! (Allthough it did work out better than imagined)

Thanks for the Comment dude, nice to hear some feedback

Yep I really shouldn't have spread that on saxp.

I will most likely end up getting it sprayed .. I went for the cheap option.

'Buy cheap, buy twice' I guess...
Oh well, it'll do for now

Yeah! It is suprisingly smooth!
It's as smooth as the paintwork on the outside tbh

Tempted to paint the whole car in it.. Thats how smooth it is!
that was a joke btw...

Yeah, its staying as it is for now. see how durable it is

Not done much today

I fitted the rear track panels for the seatboelt covers and air vent covers.... And I put the dashboard back together

Pics...

Progress will be slow over the next few days as it's my birthday! so will probably begin progress next week.

My to do list for next week:

- finish wiring rev limiter
- fit bucket seats and harnesses
- prep the front bumper for a lick of paint
- and see how I get on

Still lots to do before FCS!!
