Have a crack at fibreglassing it, you'll save loooads of money and it's not really that hard. Just remember to buy loads of filler as it's as it's a lot easier to sand this then sanding fg.

well your a 2 hour drive away buddy.
cheers for the offer though.

Whats the best layout for this Sound Quality install?
Should i be putting it in the boot in the center or, being bass with no location, to either side ok?

Try different locations and directions. Ideally you want it to sound like it's coming from in front of you and central (to you).

I'm struggling a bit to be honest. SQ wise the one I linked you to will most likely be the best. Other options are:

JBL amp:
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/jbl-...ae6efff9eef5bc
£100
This will be by far the cheapest, whatever way you look at it, they're also highly rated amps.

PG on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Phoenix-Gold-T...QQcmdZViewItem
This could be a very good option.

USamps goodness:
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/amps...ae6efff9eef5bc
£240
Another good option although I'd be more tempted by the pg.

The original linked amp for the sub:
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/audi...dc3d99ce905d24

It was only:
1 x 350W RMS @ 2ohms Subwoofer Drive

the sub though now will be an RE SE10 which is a Dual Drive.
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/audi...dc3d99ce905d24
What will this need to run its 600watts RMS rating comfortably?

Im confused.
Which amp should i be looking at to get the sub working at the same quality as the rest of the install?

Ive PM you anyway mate

Its a Dual4 sub though:
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/audi...dc3d99ce905d24

I presumed it needs a 2 channel amplifier running 4ohms
plus i read earlier on to stay away from Class D amps for the sub.
is that correct?

Or do you mean to wire like this:

cheers. I'll PM you my number and sort some times out

It's a dual 4ohm sub so can either be wired to 8ohms or 2ohms. So really you want a 2 channel amp that is 2ohm stable when bridged (pretty rare) or a 4channel amp that you can bridge each pair of outputs in to one of the coils.

in really high end sq applications the sound from a class D amp will not be as "warm" as a class a a/b amp , however in the scope of seeing what you are looking at although everything is geared to sq over spl the equipment chosen is middle ground (mixture of both) so i dont see that a class d would be a problem at all.

yep wire it like that to show the amp a 2Ohm load.

A class D isn't middle-ground at all though. Class D amps are cheaper and more efficent which is why people go for them, for 600W the price difference could be minimal so it's pointless sacrificing loads of SQ for the sake of a couple of notes. Unless it is in a budget install or over 1000W then I would never ever recommend a class D amp.

I hear that.

Id rather save money on the bass amp and put it towards a better head unit.

Can anyone recommend a good sounding head unit which plays DVDs?
