Sale/Wanted Section Mods..
Dunno if this is a good idea, but what if a couple of moderators were assigned to the for sale/wanted section?
I have noticed on threads (including one of mine) people saying 'Legendy phone' etc etc. Now I know the moderators can't watch it all the time, but if mods were assigned to the For Sale section it could be monitored better.
That's just my 2ps worth.

I don't want the power at all Mark, that doesn't bother me! Don't think I'd like a moderators job to be honest...lol.
I wouldn't say it's really bad, but does get spammed a hell of a lot with the comments 'nice car' or 'if I had the money'.

the ones that say nice car are kind of acceptable imo, but the ones that say if i had the money etc.... are well fooking annoying as it makes it harder for people to read the thread as there are just post after post of spammage

I didn't think it would actually happen.

why isnt it done so its a locked thread?
That way, you can only talk directly with the seller thru private messages.
The original poster can reply to keep everyone updated with offers etc

Thats what I suggested as it would cut the spam out and people could contact each other via pm, but on the other hand the seller would have to get a mod to edit the thread when needed, which would be a pain.

Can the limit you have to post before you can put an item in the for sale section be reduced? Some people join so they can advertise to the saxo community. I want to sell some saxo parts but cant post in there yet!

The limit is there for very good reason, to stop people signing up with the sole intention of making a quick buck by ripping people off. And anyway to be perfectly honest; anyone with half a brain wouldn't buy anything from someone who was relatively new to the site anyway, personally i'd only buy from someone who was an established member and who was known around the forums.
