would it sound anything like that unmapped in a vtr?

also would it be ok to drive like it for like 10 miles unmapped?

fit new cams it is okay to drive it unmapped for a while, a few people i have known and a few on SSC for example have fitted theirs and driven around 600-1000 miles before getting a remap.

its just a case of playing around with the timing (on a vts) and getting an adjustable vernier for a vtr and retarding the overlap a little to get a rough idle
