A Serious performance section
the engine/performance section is used for everything from full on engine conversions to people asking about induction kits, so i suggest the section is split, engine for normal upgrade question e.g exhausts and induction kits aswell as general engine questions, and a performance section where people can ask and post about high performance things from engine conversions to turbos, think this would help as people with expertise in serious performance modifications would be able to go to a section where they can give advice and people planning serious engine modifications know where they will get the best advice, and it means general engine questions can be answered more effectively and as most people have induction kits and aftermarket exhaust then we can all help when it comes to the general engine section, and people who are after big power have a performance section where they can post about more serious stuff

if its an engine question, no matter if its about a turbo or an air filter, they will still get the same answers even if they sections are split, people will still use both, theres alot of people on this site who really know what they are on about, there are also retards who give advise but i dont see that spliting it would help. Just making new sections for the hell of it
i can see why your saying it, but i dont see the need for it

I dont see any point in having the engine / performance secrion split down. Like Matt said, you'd still get the same replies whichever way it is done.

What would you class as serious performance? Might aswell rename it the dreamers forum, how many people who post about turboing their sax actually do it? 10 percent?

1%. I'm not sure. I think it would actually discourage people. When I come on here I'll have a quick look down the engine questions. If I can help then I'll post. I'm not sure I'd bother if I had tom go through a load of sections

let me moderate the engine section lol!!
in theory splitting it into a normal/performance section is good, however as most of the people and questions i get asked in there seem to be from real NOOBs i think that having it spit would cause further confusion for the vast majority of them, and you would still get daft questions in the 'serious' part...

well the point would be that if you have an engine problem you would post on the engine thread and if you are wanting to know about enhances performace then posting in a performance thread, it would mean if you car dont start on a monday morning you know where to post and would be able to get a better concentrated help and your thread would get alot more attention as it wouldnt get pushed down the list because more people are interested in a supercharger project, i think it would concentrate peoples focus,

if people used the search function then the section wouldn't get clogged up as many of the more mundane things have been answered at length. I'd rather we encourage that than give yet another section to browse.

problems and queires section?
you might aswell have sub sections like breathing mod section, cams head section. tbs blower section. hang on i think ive got something here
it will just get too confusion tbh. people espec noobs alot of the time post in gen chat so to find the right section to post will be worse. we dont want too much of a military exercise.
