Sell it and buy something fast
Edit: Seriously. Fast road cams? Have they been mapped? ITB'S?
Stage 1 turbo? Roll cage? Buckets and harnesses? New tyres? an M.O.T?
Polybush? Alloys? Carbon fibre? Respray? I could go on and on and on.....

well is it a show car, track car, daily, what?
I would suggest stuff and it maybe a waste of time if we don't know what you are using the car for...

if it was oem id do things in this order
bring it back to oem form so no niggles, worn items or things that dont work
lower it
back box and b pipe
air intake/ cotton filter for the oem box
manifold
new steering wheel
106 leathers
cams
save for a better car.

Going on what gibbo said.
Replace every single bush on the car with a polybush, sort out any issues and niggles, may uprate a few things - brakes, tyres, interior.
Get rid of all rust, underseal.
good solid clean car then IMO.

You don't need a "track slag" to take a car on track.
You would be better saving your money for something that won't kill you if you had a head on with a shopping trolley.
A nice 1*2

Sell it, add the money to the 2k you have and get something better.
Should be able to get some decent spelling lessons for that sort of wedge

I will note bite.
I don't think there is anything wrong with French cars.
OP, you could do as said above, sell the S and use the 2k and buy an Ibiza cupra or something along those lines?
More potential, more power from the off and when you change gear you can make it go "patooooshhhhhhh".
