Would prefer a imac but obviously they are alot more expensive. I just love the 27 inch screen and the i7 processor <3

Is the 2g the newest one? Whats the specs.

Edit: That tracker pad looks awesome!

Yeah its the latest, only the basic model out of the two though

2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB memory
320GB hard drive1
8x double-layer SuperDrive
NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics
Mac OS X Snow Leopard

I was looking at their 27" led, plan on getting it in the new year, to go above my tv in my room! And apple tv looks pretty mint too imo!

Yeah its a brilliant screen to look at, colour representation is top quality.
Didnt think you could wall mount it though, thought the stand was unremovable from the screen.

Apple tv does look good, the box is tiny!

Id have to mount my plasma on the wall and put the screen on the shelf under it too!
Macpro, and that screen, would do me for a life time!

As said, the colour is brilliant! Everytime i pass thr apple store i need to go in and look!
Macbook is getting a few years old, and slowing down abit now, so upgrade is soon needed! Quadcore macpro ftw!

Yeah its a fair bit, but i will use it, and use it well!
I love technology, would rather spend the money there than on a nice, newer car than the sax!

I never used to like apple products, but i started to use photoshop alot, got a macbook, abused it, got another one, fully speced out and thats getting old now lol!
Then i used it for going from hard drive to hard drive, to do work, quick and with quality! And just havnt turnt back! Got the ipods, got the ipad, looking into buyinng an iphone, as a second phone lol...

Far too pricey for what you get.

What exactly are you using it for?

For fun...

As i said for serious work, when i actually do any now, id use my macbook pro.
But if i need something, bigger, abit quicker, and with flash, over my ipad then i use that or my macbook, which ever is closer to hand.

As they are all syncd wireless, bluetooth so i can acess either one from each other.

you can access each one from the others, that is awesome. Even access the iphone from the ipad?

You cant get a quad core macbook can you? even the i7 15 inch is a dual core i think with hyper threading. Still awesome, but if i had a macbook, which soon i will hopefully, it will have to be the 13 just because of its size! Am waiting for them to change from C2D to i3, although im not sure when this will be as thelogic board isnt big enough for the i3 and dedicated graphics.

I heard rumours they may be changing to amd processors in the MBP, although it was just a rumour.

It's called a network and is nothing new.

Just trying to understand how you can spend a grand on a mac mini for "fun"?

Do you wipe your arse with twenties?

Ohhh sorry, i didnt realise, i thought networks were only recent...

I meant access as in control, course i know you can access files etc, i should have been clearer but you dont have to be a twat.

Also if you enjoy something and want to spend money on it why not?

Why spend alot of money on a car to make it faster etc if your not going to use it to race? because its fun.... Why spend a shed load of money on a android/iphone when a phones primary use is to phone, which any cheap phone can do.... o yeah! because the extra features are... you guessed it.. FUN!

lol i wish! this andrex puppy leaves too much hair in my crease!

my theory is, "work hard, play hard"
now, i have a car, which gets me to A-B,so i dont need to spend money on a bigger better car.
i have an R6 which gets me from A-B just faster, more fun, and better in every way
hence why i dont want a bigger faster car...

after paying bills, and snap on etc, all the money i have left at the end of the month is to play with, there is nothing in particular i want, so when i see something i like, ill go get it.

im proud to be able to say, i have everything i want...because ive worked hard to get it!

it all pairs up Via bluetooth.
so same principle as being acess other mobile phones from yours, and browse their data. but its great, streaming music / movies from my mac in my room, to my TV down stairs! just need apple TV to have more to watch!

i got a 15 book atm, and my mum just got one of the new 13s for business*shes a finance manager for a school so they pay for it, and she gets the VAT back * i cant play on it, because shes a moose! but its bloody nice! id recommend them to anyone, and the fact they dont get viruses is a win win!

Wasn't being a twat. I'll be honest, I listen to apple fan boys all day long (including my brothers) who constantly big up features that are either pointless or have been around for years (Remote Desktop and file sharing the relevant ones here) and I thought this was another "my apple does this" discussion.

It's obviously not as Tonto has replied and fair play to him if he just wanted to buy it for the craic, that's all I was trying to find out.

I'd spend it on a palmer sports day myself or a holiday but hey, each to there own and if you have the money and have worked hard for it, you have every right to spend it on whatever the fuck you want!

All my computers are Mac.

Give me 10 mins and i'll write a wee program that will end your Mac.

Mac viruses are out there, but it's Microsoft that get effected so much more as they control a massive proportion of the computer market.
