ah right just ignore my last pager steve lol, i thought you meant the engine start, what bulbs do i need for them then just normal LEDs like the alarm one?

I so want to do this, but I really don't have the balls to do it. And I don't feel safe removing the steering wheel?
Looks awesome though, my cd player lights up blue so would be awesome if it was to match!!

its easy mate honestly just follow steves guide and you will have no problems, i used a normal soldering ironwith the flat head end, basically all you do is stroke it across the solder while using the tweezers to pull the old one off and basically the same putting it back on
thats the hardest part because there fiddly and small

Yea you will be fine mate.
You dont need to remove the whole steering wheel, as mentioned in above posts just loosen the bolts so that you can adjust the steering wheel lower so you can access the screws.
Its all explained though, the soldering isnt particularly hard either as pred mentioned just need a steady hand.

no the filter cannot be removed, if u can get some clear ones off lockwood or something then u could do it

about £35 and i dont know if there filters are clear, just get plasma dials if u got a mk1

matrix racing on ebay do them, there plasmas so u dont need leds as they have there own plasma lighting

about 6 hours lol I had a few hold ups. I fucked one of the contacs so I had to relocate both contacts to the left slightly and I didnt have the right size torz to take the wheel off
