So to make a good car you need to spend thousands of pounds on mods b*llshit, look at alot of cars on here they dont have the earth spent on them and they still handle well and perform well, for example i bought a set of bilstein group n dampers with 155lb faulkner springs, upper and lower omp strut braces all for £300 does this mean my car doesnt handle aswell as somone who has spent £500 just on the dampers?
So are you also saying that your car is no good then?

No, i am saying that my car isnt the best, and £300 on suspension, is a lot when this fella is saying he only wants to buy some springs. i cba arguing with you anymore over personal opinion.

talk about cynical dude.
for £500 i know i can have the car looking pretty good. i can fit most of the parts myself, do spraying myself, servicing myself etc. if you can pick up cheap or used parts i could do a fair whack to it. its not a mag car im after just a nice looking run about. jeeso! thanks for the great advice some of ya!

to be honest i dont mind paying a little extra for suspension and as it does dramatically enhance the look. its the first thing id want to do apart from spray the wheels myself and service it. im guessing along the lines of
1.air filter £5 +p&p off the guy above
2.spray alloys black £40
3.lowering springs poss with shocks upto £200ish
4.possibly spray bump strips body coloured £40? (anyone have pics of this)
5.maybe an in-dash dvd player depending on what the used parts sales has to offer, plus some good speakers upto £200
6. de-wiper the rear £2
7. backbox £50ish
8. small ariel £5
9. a good fecking clean - free i have the products
thats just over £500 and im hoping not to spend as much as that if i dont need to. the interior is mint so no need to touch that. and i do think this will make a hugeeeeeeeeeeeee difference to this wee thing. not looking at mag cover, just a fun little run about for 6 months.

kyle mate if you want cheap bang for buck stuff got for manifold exhaust and enclosed induction. That way in 6 months time etc at least you can take those off put car back to standard get money for that and pretty much make most of your money back on above bits.
In regards to suspension just a basic kit mate springs only end of day your only keeping it for 6months brakes 266mm ones cheap and make half money back selling VTR ones off.
cheap cheerful and still have 100-200 left over and mkae most back when you sell tastier bits off after you finished with the car so keep all the standard bits you take off

put xenons on it, and just this minute finished spraying the alloys gloss black. thinking off wither spraying the bump strips gloss black or body coloured. undecided yet. also gave the exhaust a nice scrub its shown it really nice so think im gonna leave that standard.

Springs will be for the front only, and there is a few guides here on how to adjust your torsion bar. Should be easy to do if its not seized.

Spend your money on some decent shocks and springs,
and uprate the brakes.
Leave it that way.
