What O/S?
There should be an option to extend your monitor to the other computer as opposed to mirroring it in the graphics card settings.

If the screen is plugged in via VGA lead. . then go to control panel, open up the display window, then click "connect to a projector" or something like that, then 4 options should show up. (PC only - Duplicate - Extend - Protector only) If you click extend, then it should work.

Get nvidia control panel (you may have to download it). This will sort it out in seconds!

Yes its in display properties, don't know the specifics but the screen will be numbers 1 and 2 and there should be a tick box along the lines of 'extend desktop onto monitor 2'
Oh well I was too late

day to day shit on the left (email, IM etc), DB development on the right, with main coding etc on the widescreen in the middle. Makes coding fuck loads more survivable!
My lenovo docking station supports three monitors (has both intel and nvidia graphics cards in one laptop).

Looks like email, saxp and this weekends events catch up (in that order) to me
I agree that multiple screen coding is so much easier, switching windows all the time is a ballache.

yes, that's my laptop to the left. Technically supports 4 screens including the internal one, but it's too small to be usable really at 17". The outside two screens I have are 20", with the middle a 22".
