Old thread.

Would it be easier/cost effective to put another turbo'd engine in a saxo like a C20LET or something.

Default diesal turbo wont work on a petrol car!

Due to a diesal running at 4500rpm max and a petrol runing at 7500rpm, would the diesal turbo stall out runing over 4500rpm?

you ever noitced how boys with scoobies burn the roads for the first week or 2 then you only see them sneaking about after that --
-20mpg is the reason and having to buy 4 tyres at a time .
and anyway unless you dump mega money into one your saxo boosted car will eat it ,
as for reliability --thats in the drivers hands --don,t show off to the chicks by wheelspinning all the time and then would why the g/box explodes.
and go for a sensible bhp level if you want to use as an everyday car--no more than 240 @wheels

they will take 200bhp easily providing fueling is sorted by a standalone ecu.

200bhp in a vts you wont need an 8k rev limit either. it will be quick enough.

What size turbo /type of turbo would reccomend. Don't want to big as will have lag and don't want to small to have to run big boost to get the power like happy medium

If your only aiming for 200bhp stick to something small, with a good manifold that doesnt choke it at higher rpm, a t2 or td04 or similar will be more than enough.
