way way too much to buy a 16v turbo manifold
will be easier to build this up and boost it as a first experience and maybe at a later stage for a higher spec 16v turbo lump, but a 1.6 8v turbo will be plenty fast for now

Pretty fast? for how low yours is mate its all its going to be able to take.
Anyway's called my mate today and he got back to me after work. There is a crackdown in west and south yorkshire on stretched wheels and camber. Each wheel is classed as a offence so 3 points for each. He also said that you would have to be very unlucky to get pulled but there is still a chance.

Maybe so
And ah right cheers mate! thank you! And why would it be very unlucky like? I mean there's plenty of traffic cars about recently, more traffic cars than actual police cars round here these days! The car that pulled me over I have driven past 4 times since I got pulled!
So are they actually looking out for cars with stretched tyres / camber? Or just if you get pulled and they notice it? Then again my stretched is very little! Not even noticeable unless you actually look at it closely
There's a civic round here with massive camber and massively stretched tyres which I've seen around for a year or so, and it's always bin like that so I'm just wondering if he's had any hassle

As far as I understand it, as long as the tread of the tyre is within or inline of the arch then the tyre is legal.
I don't see how they can say what "stretched" tyres are as there is no specific guide as to what width wheels should have which tyres.

Exactly! He tried to do me for my actual wheel sticking out p the arch, and I said you have a 30mm limit and he was like I've bin a traffic officer for 25 years I know everything about it do I just shut up
And he got a tape measure , measured the width of the tyre then the wheel and then goes its stretched !

My mate (traffic cop) said that from the middle of the month they will be issued with a template that is a set degree that they put on the wheel rim. Anything beyond that angle is deemed unsafe for highway use.
But as said he only knows about the south and west yorkshire area so i cant comment on anywhere else.

Unfortunately he sounds like a c*nt that doesn't actually know a thing. The whole idea of stretched tyres comes from keeping the tread inside the wheel arches.
I suppose if they were seriously stretched then they could say it's dangerous but I've never heard of that to be honest.
A traffic officer will tell you anything if he thinks it'll make you change it.

Oh he was! I even said good morning/evening to him and he just told me to get out !
And fuck it, I won't change my tyres he can do one tbh
