looks really well mate!, just moved into a new flat so its put a bit of a damper on my project , just bought some new rods off andy_k last week, hoping to get the pistons/ rods fitted at payday as i still need h/g water pump and timing belt kit, then once ive ran that in... its bolt on time!!!
sadly mf2 for me for the forseeable as i just cant afford to go standalone with the move and pending fatherhood lol, but should still be a nice little toy for what i need
dyno run for the quicky needed mate!!

Well few updates in roughly 12hrs time mapping shall be commencing But the pain in the dumper is that I will have to take the whole front end off just to remove the lambda sensor due to its tight position!
SO bumper, rad, i/c will have to come off which is a pain as will have to rebleed system again , also half the dash is out due me making a thing for the afr gauge to sit in where the pass vent is in the middle. Other than that need to get some more petroleum aswell and monies for said mapping so very early start for me
Areet Andy sounds like a plan mate in your situation always worth taking time

copy n paste from Datashift affiliates section but this is basically what happened today pics will follow later :
Guys what can I say that hasn't already been said? Andy is one of the most brilliant people ever full stop extremely impressed doesn't describe how today went!
Early start for me 8am to get old lambda out, putting dash back together with the gauge etc but once Andy had come just before 11am made him a cuppa had a chat he worked out some figures for the injectors and fpr I am running. Once done we got to work calibrating the lc-1 and adjusting some setting on the Predator before starting it up.
First thing that impressed me was the fact that idle was just a tad over 1k but once Andy had fiddled with a few more settings boom idle on gauge was 1k on software was 1020rpm ish. Now that was done we did some quick mapping but one problem didn't have air temp sensor totally my fault So since we was going up and down the a483 we stopped off at my mates garage in wrexham to get one fitted that then off we went for more tweaking.
We mapped on high boost which felt really well (11/12psi) all seemed well and on way back Andy tested duty cycle and with my 185cc injectors @4bar they was running 120%!!! So slowed right down pulled into petrol station and turned the boost right down to the normal 8psi and off we went again for more tweaking all went well no problems to report on way back seemed to keep up with one of those mg turbo estate things quite well.
Andy had a go himself and for a scrapheap challenge turbo build he said it went well Even once we got back he wanted to do a bit more tweaking on hot starting! All in guys I would recommend the Predator to any of you 16v people or Quik/Furio/Westcoast owners may it be for TBS, N/A tuning, Boost you can not get a better or faster service with Andy and the Predator.
Put it into perspective arrived just before 11am messed about a bit and went mapping just after 12pm and we had finished mapping to a point Andy was happy at just past 2pm! £495 fitted and mapped plus his travel cost more than worth the investment.
Power wise estimate on low boost mid 130sbhp and on high boost mid 150sbhp but r/r in few weeks, car as it is now drives pretty dam well

you bloody got that right mate as with all things there are still things to do, there is something I can do maybe next year to get more (new head, cam, hybrid turbo) but again its all cost as with all things.
Got this small list to do over next few months could get most of it done in a weekend I guess but its time and money first 4 things be able to sort them easy but next 3 will take to garage to sort out.
Quote:
lower brace
change rear bump strips
filler and paint spoiler
Sort better oil return (similar issues to Si but the turbo is fine)
Elise Seats & subframes
ap 2pots 283mm disc
rear lines & vtr mcl
kurust underside of boot floor and hole in boot, zinc primer it all
sand down slam panel, strut tops and scuttle then paint
|
anyway crap pic of the bay as it is now, plenty to do to tidy it up will get pic of the gauge once I've tidied it up bit more

i like this!! wish i had the money for a predator!!! guess ill have to wait till next year, i need a vid of this in action mate , sounds like nice power!!
since im running mf2 and will be taking around 1 bar boost ive deicded i may modify my rallye inlet to take 4 extra injctors, then ill have 1 per cylinder running nicely and evenly between the cylinders, thinking of getting boss'es aly welded into the top of the runners near the block, that are angled to spray directly into the inlet ports.
