Im with admiral and i rang them up saying im interested in swapping my car over to a 106 gti bla bla bla the modifications are all the same, lowering, alloys, manifold, exhaust etc + it has uprated cams and i got a quote back of a good 350ish cheaper than my vtr was to insure

But I like to know why a vts is more than a gti lol

and there are more vts's i think than there are gti's
plus a vts can be picked up slightly cheaper than a gti can be picked up for so more crashes in them etc, just down to statistics like

but i was pretty shocked tbh to see it was cheaper!

also out of interest when i had my vtr i was playing around with insurance quotes and out of interest i added on it that i had an own fault crash and the price went up 200 ish quid, thats not bad considering im 18 with 0 ncb

I'm hoping mine only goes up 200 haha I'm also 18 with 0 ncb, vtr isn't bad for a first car but I want something cammed, and cramming a vtr isn't really worth it :/

Because my old car was lowered so the ride was proper stiff and harsh, and that always broke so since the gti was lowered and the ride was stiff as well he said that's exactly the same as the your old one and said no to the guy before I even opened my mouth! Yet it passed MOT yesterday! Pissed off to say the least though! Found a few ,more gtis now so shall be giving them a ring today!

just an idea, but ive spotted this but really really do like the look of! its a quicksilver, but come december time i can whack in a 16v which will be no problem
