I cant steer my car!!! HELP!!! PLEASE!!!
Just went to move my car and found it really hard to move the steering wheel. Feels worse than not having power steering!!! The car has been stood around for 2 weeks because i went on holiday and left my car at work. Could this be why? Anyone no what might be wrong?
Rep for help

That happened to mine.. ended up needing a new alternator. The power steering is electrical iirc.

lol, you obviously havent had a base model sax hehe. Sounds to me like power steering pump or something along those lines but also check:
PAS oil
Check ball joints and track rod ends for seizure
also might be worth checking the PAS fuse

It wasnt crippling but could have done without it, I think it might have been £120 fitted but thats a guess as its a long time ago.

I drove it yesterday and it was fine, The only thing i've done to it since is take the old backbox off and try to replace it with a new one but that didn't fit so i had to put the old one back on. Surely that's nothing to do with it?

Ok, so i've just been to test the blowers and the rear demister and they're both working. I've checked every fuse i've got, so what should i check next?
