Thanks for all your comments guys.

vts_chris : supersprint sounds ace. Got a slight blow at the moment but hope to get it sorted soon. Haven't driven the car with it on yet but does sound good on idle. Will have to try and get a vid.

It was a toss up between supersprint and pugsport but wasn't too keen on being able to see the silencer in the backbox.

Haven't really done much on the xsi since xmas.

I have fixed my old set of xsi dials so will be going back to them as i couldn't get the gti dials working quite right. Will fire my new vss in also to replace the one with chewed up teeth!

I have purchased a spare wheel strap for my S1 Steelie from Templerallysport.com. No pics yet.

I finally got round to putting my 185/55/R14 road tyres onto the 5 S1 Steelies.

Spot the nice fresh refurbed wheel.

Also got my 3metres of 4AWG power cable through. I had my battery cut off switch working but the old cable was about 20cm too short so got myself some new stuff:

Seems a bit of a poor update but i am saving my pennies up as i hope to have the xsi on the road last March - April.

Well i went to the xsi again yesterday

I finally fitted my TRS spare wheel strap. Loosely strapped down:

I purchased some gauges off a mate this week, They are brand new and never wired up.

Here they are in corsa A pillar Pod:

Old gauges:

New gauges:

Back light on:

Just waiting on my sandwich plate so i can get them wired in.

With the 185/55 tyres. Much better i feel!:

Really isn't alot left to do before the car is on the road/track.

Cheers Will. I will eventually go perspex but would ideally want to put the funds towards a rollcage, Polycarbs will come in time!

Cheers shooorn man. Haven't got any track days booked up yet. I would prefer to get a place booked in the week so it will be a bit quieter to get used to the car. Im used to driving my daily 180bhp tdi comfy machine!

Appreciate it Alex. I am trying . Its look much longer than i thought it would but tbh im in no rush. The car is ready when its ready. I would prefer to take longer and not cut corners with stuff.

I hope mine will be up to Sams xsi's standard one day!

Thanks Alex. Hopefully get a few track days in this year, as i have been building this car for far too long now!

Quick update :

Got my Oil filter sandwich adapter through for my oil pressure and oil temp gauges. I have wired the gauges up just need to get this fitted now

Also got a new door check strap on the way!! Finally!! I will soon be able to have the passanger door open without the need to tie the door to anything!

I think such a beastly track weapon like this needs some gravel rash to show it's learned from the school of hard knocks!

Update time

Tonight i went and collected an OMP Half cage with door bars. The cage is a bolt in type but will be looking to get it welded into the xsi.

Here is a piss poor pic once i got it home:

I have a few days off later this week so will look at getting it placed in the car and better pics.

May have to move the battery box over slightly.
