Default Black VTR.. Morrettes Fitted Comments Welcome!!

Well im back now, after starting off with a 1.1 Desire im finally back, tried a few different cars in between, Astra SXi and a Vectra GSI, but really wanted another Saxo so picked this up yesterday. needs some work doing to it, but not too shabby base plate

its got a K & N induction kit fitted, and today I fitted I fitted the strut brace..

Engine bay need a good tidy up but will get there eventually

new rear lights will be on tomorrow and just waiting for a refund and then I will be ordering a Full Sniper Race exhaust system.

Then I will be going for a debadged grill, tinted repeaters, and then either refurb my wheels or find some better wheels, I know everyone is gonna say get it lowered but its not the most comfy of cars already, and when I have 3 kids in the back I want them to have some comfort..

Looks very shiny. What year is it?

The engine bay needs a bit of TLC. Watch the rust under the ECU and innner wing. IMO, i'd get this treated ASAP.

If youve just bought a 3 door saxo to fit your 3 kids in the back as you want them to be comfy, thats the most idiotic thing ever! You should have got a 5dr mondeo or something!

But otherwise, nice base to start with.

I didnt buy the car for the kids to be comfy, but I want them to be comfy, I bought it because I like the saxo looks and handles. I wouldnt drive a mondeo as a gift to be honest, just not my cuppa tea.
The kids arent in the car most the time, but when they are I dont want it to be too harsh for them, got more speed bumps round than is needed and had a letter a little while ago saying they have been giving the go ahead for bigger ones in the only entrance and exit to our town...

You're brave buying a Saxo with 2* safety rating to drive your kids around.

Looks like you need to sort the engine bay out. Nice colour though.

yup it does need sorting, I have done the rust on the inner wing and under the ECU,

Put in a new Air filter, and ECU cover has been replaced, had a full Sniper race exhaust system put on new years eve, only to find out my cat had virtually fallen off, so had to have that replaced which I wasnt expecting...

I also dewipered the rear window,

Heko wind deflectors turned up today along with most the parts to repair my front end (Struts, Bearings Steering rack Boots and track Rod ends) just waiting to find the right lowering kit before I get it all installed though..

Also tinted repeaters last week, E-Tech Ting spray, so easy to use,

New steering wheel should be here tomorrow, OMP Trecento

just waiting on a call back about some new wheels (if in stock I will be getting Team Dynamics Pro Race 3's

bought some new brakes off here GTI-6 so they should be here soon too,

just need to decide on a manifold now,

being tall my legs rest on my standard wheel. im hoping the trecento gives me a bit more room and comfort,

Just got off the phone to rimstyle, there was no prorace 3's in stock even at team dynamics so I have gone for the Prorace 1.2's instead. wrapped in Toyo T1R's

deffo needs lowering, I just need to find the right kit, im thinking 50mm drop all round should do it,

I know there not to everyones taste, but for me they break up the rear a little bit, hopefully once the wheels are on the white will blend a bit better

I treated that with hammerite rust treatment, and painted in saxo black, not a perfect finish, but its rust free now, just need a arch liner for the drivers side now

Ah ok, When mine looked like that, i pushed my finger through it and had to cut it out and weld new metal in. where the rust is, isnt covered by the arch liner which i thought was a bit daft
