my xboxs broke

got 3 red lights on it today and rang mircrsoft up and gota send it off and could take up to 3-4 weeks!

F***ING GUTTED!

ooOOoo how harsh, dont think i could go 3-4 weeks with out a xbox!

I got the 3 red lights on mine about 2 months ago and as soon as they came on i unplugged the power cable waited a few hours and turned it back on and its been fine ever since

they say that so they dont pressure themselves i think. Mine broke with 3 red lights problem.

I phoned up xbox, a ups guy came round the next day to pick it up them it was returned to me after 3 working days.

phone up and see if yours is still under warrenty. Better to have it fixed than to bodge it i think. They gave me a different xbox from the one I sent, 2/3 years younger

Microsoft cover ALL Xbox's for 3 years from purchase with the ring of death now.

the warrenty is 3 years but the ring of death warrenty has been extended to 5 years i think.

Just to let people know, they dont return "it" they return a 360 that broke say a month or two ago, that they have repaired. You don't get your original 360 back

Happened to me the other day.. Got a 'mate' I know fixing it for me.. It's not 100% legit xbox..

That towel trick is a load of bollocks.. Reckon it would do more damage than good tbh.

The towel trick works i done it 3 times while waiting for UPS opening times.

Plus what does it matter it it does more harm, your sending it away to be fixed.

about 10-15 minuites with the fans plugged in (if you don't open it?)

Make sure you block the back and sides...

Then let it cool for about the same ammount of time, and walah a temporary fix
