Internet dongle
Hey guys, im currently working away from home and im wanting to get the internet for my laptop whilst im in the digs on a night, i dont want to sign up for broadband as im moving around so im after a dongle, tesco have one for 9.99 and its 15 per month for 1gb of data... im not really clued up on this but will 1gb be enough for me to have a look on ebay and youtube and all the usual shit a few times a month ? cheers (3 offer 15gb for 14.99 but its a 24month contract which i dont want to have to sign up for)

i used to have 3gig
and used to regularly go over it with "mild" use
it just depends what youll do most

People at work use them as pay as you go. Means if you don't use it for months then it's not costing you

yeah the best one i have found payg is Fair use policy: 1day: 250MB; 1 week: 500MB; 30 days: 1GB. £3..£7..£15

yeah think thats what i will do tescos payg is £3 day for 250mb ... £7 a week for 500mb or £15 a month for 1gb

im on orange, 3gb for £15 per month
blitzed it this month seeing as talktalk wont come out to find the problem with my landline/internet connection.

Really depends where your going but most places in the UK mobile internet is a bit slow. Also if your watching videos you quickly use a lot of data. I would tend to recommend using your phone. Most smart phones you can turn in to mobile wifi spots these days. Windows phone, Android, Apple they all do it. So if you have a mobile already it may work out cheaper just to add some data allowance to that. Orange, Tmobile, EE tend to be the best for data.
Also if you know any one who has BT interenet and they dont use there Openzone/FON/BTwifi you can always ask nicely and see if you can use it. It is much Much MUCH faster then any mobile internet and if your in a residential area its normally good. You get unlimited with this and its quick enough to watch movies for the most part.

As said if you've got a Samsung you can make it in to a WiFi hotspot and just use that.

had a three one for ages when I was moving a lot, it worked fine.
Could stream skysports ok and everything.
only problem was it used a lot of data.
