Hi,
Any one know were i can get a new set of rear axle bolts from, the ones that hold the axle to the car, its for an 02 vtr

Not if you want to make your own bearings.

I used to know what the sizes were for making oilite bearings, but no idea where the info is now. it was on 106owners but that's long gone now.

Oillite bushes!! Not played with those for a long time. I assume that the needle roller bearings would be replaced by the oillite bushes giving a heavier duty low maintenance solution.

Yes but by design they will have a bit of play, which some MOT testers decide to fail, not recommended for road use.

That play is absolutely safe and is more suited to track use.

There's more movement with a standard bearing, but you can't "feel" any play.

Needle rollers ftw!

I had a quick look on Servicebox using your VIN but only seems to show the trailing arms as a whole plus bearings and seals unless i'm missing something, with my Servicebox permissions this is all it seems to give me.

You will need nearly 20 tonnes to break the pin free from the axle.

It might move with less if you use lots and lots of heat.

I never knew there is a pin, but I do know it takes about 20t to pull the axle. Can you show me where exactly is this pin?

No there is no pin, we call the axle tube the axle pin.

It's press fit

I suggest you try some kind of hydraulic puller?

I'm still not sure of the dimensions of the pin/tube though. I don't have a spare axle to measure

I don't know why but newer versions don't show the whole picture. Older 2010,2011 do show, but just like you I don't have it, mine is 2013.

I will try to do without hydraulic. My idea is to find the right size bar in combination with good tensile strength and cut the thread and use a nut to extract. Of course, I will need to machine some other parts and use in combination with this. Assuming that extracting force F=200KN you can calculate necessary parameters for this tool at least in theory.

If it is the same type as Ithe one Ive seen some time ago you'll need a welder to use it,as you need to make the outer side of the pin internal diameter smaller so that you can use that to press out the pin,nothing hard,there was a very helpful video on YouTube on how to use the kit but has been taken down for some reason and i haven't found another one since.

Excellent video ,and looks relatively easy to do it this way.I was thinking about, is it a good idea to use welding (but not like this) ,but then again I was not so sure if the weld will hold this massive force.I will definitively go in this direction.Thank you very much!

What is the difference between KS559.06 and KS559.07?Both of them seams to fit on Saxo.
