Because some people have had problems after turning off their xbox when it was updating, they just thought it had frozen. No big deal but always better forewarned.

because it didnt actually say it was updating, it would hang at the green screen then a bar would go up without notice.

I turned mine on and it had a tiny green bar in the screen, obviously loading something, have to be a total mong to turn it off because of that!
