I see the new bars as an addition thing to help people know what the person is like before making any purchases or selling stuff to them... so would come in handy to help stop all the crap that has been happening in the For Sale/Wanted sections.

In a nutshell, the system is supposed to attempt to promote constructive use of the community.
basic examples.
- if you linger in general chat all day every day and dont contribute to any other aspect of the community your experience score will be very low.
- if you reply to peoples threads, make use of social networking tools, submit blogs, use the attachment system, use friends area, submit thread tags, etc, etc (things that enrich the community) your experience score will be higher.

Surely that isn't a bad thing if we sit in general chat all day? Majority of my time is spent in general chat, I know a lot of us are the same during the day.
Peoples threads? Does that mean photo threads etc?
