Laptop Help - Constant black screen
I have an Acer Aspire laptop, only had it two years. Ive just used it for downloading and browsing the net. Last night i turned it on as normal and when it go to the screen that should show my desktop it just showed a black screen and the mouse cursor.
it booted up as normal and showed the normal start up screen, i can alter the brightness of the black screen and move the mouse, i just cant see anything on the screen.
I have recently put Windows 7 on and got a couple of 'Critial errors' a few weeks after doing this but restored it and it worked fine since.
Any ideas what it is before i take it to the PC shop for fixing?

We had the same with Vista. Every so often, if you moved the cursor on screen the screen went blank, although if you looked very carefully you could just about make out what was on screen, and it still scrolled etc.
We put it down to a bug and installed all the updates and it seemed to fix it.
