just been looking at alot of websites and it seems that they all seem to say the same things.
only difference is i was given 5 ports to forward from microsoft and most people on the interweb reckon its 3 ports but i doubt that makes a difference.

Nah if you have forward 5 thats ok. forwarding less then avarage joe (3) is where the problems may lay.
Personally i think it could be something to do with you using a modem and a router.
Your router has a built in modem so you have no need for the modem. Whos your internet provider?

Ive tried the second to last one, with WPI settings and the actual NAT settings of the router, no luck.
however the filter settings on here look like they might work, also it says my router is compatible with live on there.

Anyone played the single player campaigne yet all the way through? Im halfway. Loving it. Absolutly amazing.
Also loving going into a room on live with all the yanks on level 90 million sayin "Roodinador the fockin n00b", which results in top kills and a hell of a lot of use of the word "Poindexter!"
