Default Really need help here please

You might seen my thread before about burning DVD RW is failing? Well i've been out and bought a brand new DVD RW, a samsung one, brand new dvds, Memorex 16x 4.7gb DVD+RW dvds, and its stil failing. I'm using the nero 9 burning program, trial version, so i'm using the best program out there, its 18x maximum speed, i've tried at 16x, 12x and 8x but it fails on them all. The process bar fills up, then goes back down to 5%, fills up again, goes down to 17%, 40% 60% then the disc ejects and comes up burning failed. No reason why or nothing, just burning failed. Can anybody please help me, because i really need help with this

How is the drive connected? IDE? Do you have the correct drivers installed?

Ye its IDE. As far as i know the correct drivers are installed yeah. When i booted it up after connecting the drive, it automatically installed drivers itself, no disc or anything needed. Its just a big folder with loads of winzip files on, its sega mega drive games that i'm trying to burn to DVD. My mate says they might be copyrighted, which is why? But i managed to get them off a disc onto my computer, so they can't be copyrighted?

I take it the whole process works with something legitimate - such as making an audio cd? Ie: so it's not a hardware fault?

Copying DVD's and Games etc is a pain, I tried once and the copyright encryption can't be got around, unless your professor hawkins.

ye making audio CD's is fine, its just DVDs, but i bought a new DVD RW because i thought my other one may been bit out of date or whateva? But no, still wont work. I should try burning something else to DVD really, to see if it is the files im trying to burn or not

Pretty sure it's the copyright mate. It's stupid - anyone can download a pirate film or whatever from the net - burn it with correct regioning etc, but can't copy a legitimate DVD due to the encryption.

Just the way it is - hope you sort it.

You tried DVD ghost ? Basically rips the DVD onto mp4 iirc then use another program to change it to an avi file or what ever you want it to be. Give that a shot.

DVD ghost bascially takes the DVD apart and gets rid of the encrytion worked for me years ago puttin DVDs onto my iPod video.
