To be legal the smoked jewels have to be fitted with the ece reflectors they come with. Most people think the reflectors look bad so don't and inso are still not road legal.

they will ask you to take it off so keeping a razorblade and some glasscleaner could get you out of a 60 pound fine also the windows are already factory tinted thats why they have a green look to them and that is 75% so really no film will meet the requirements of the law on the front i used to work for a tinting firm we just use to say if you get stopped we didnt do it ! lol

Quick update for this. As of 16th August 2013 the fine at the roadside has now increased from £30 to £50.
As its a bit of a bump on an old thread I can confirm that the legal limits are exactly the same as previously.
Windscreen - 75% of light to pass through.
Front windows - 70% light to pass through.
Windows behind the B pillar - No restrictions.

had windows done man such a difference and having people behind you with full beam on is no problem any more as tended to glare and piss me off with people having them on for no reason. Now I don't have to worrie about that.
