Default speedometer question?

Hi

I have a 2000 mk2 saxo furio, I want to change the speedometer to a saxo vts, however the saxo vts dash has done about 100k and the one already in place is a lot less, would this still remain on the digital clock if i switched them? Or would it carry over the miles? if so is their a way of fixing this?

I have already looked about the forums on this and just wanted to be sure.
thanks.

It will carry the miles that are saved to the dials.

There is a way to get it adjusted - PM RyanMT on here, he does it.

Aren't the miles kept on the ecu?

It seems logical that they would be.

If it was as simple as swapping clocks over wouldn't Saxos be getting clocked for fun by getting a trashed low milage Saxo speedo unit?

I can assure you 100%. They are kept on the clocks.

Been there, done this - switched my clocks out, had a set in which were lower milegage, and it read as.... lower mileage.

I'm planing to change speedometer,is there any code related (like when you change a lock on steering wheel) problems since new speedometer is from another car?Is anything coded in speedometer for particular car?

Are all saxo MK2 speedometers exchangeable?
