Should see a bit more than mine then tbh as those engines seem to...but it will be nice to see what gains can be made on the silvertop later engine..
I'll take a look at your thread when you update it

Yeah from what I've heard as the roller-rocker type is least subjective to cam gains but like I said no-ones throttle bodied one to see what gains can be made so yeah should be a good test.

Yeah be nice to experiment a throttle bodies 8v is always a nice thing but to be the first of the certain engine would be pretty cool I just hope it all goes to plan
and 9 years wow... that's a long time definitely get it rebuilt if your swapping the engine to a different car..

Just looked back and saw you bought the uniroyal rainsports? How do you find them?
At the moment im running 195/45 proxes 4's and just seen them on camskill for £35.40 in 195/50 profile but they have a high load rating (86) did you consider them or have you used them before?

You have gone for a short trumpet length on the TB's
How will this effect the power band in comparison to lengthier bodies?
Am i right in saying that it will put the peak power at a higher rpm?

I've got the 195/50 profiles on my car now and tbh I really can't rate them high enough for a road tyre. They won't be the greatest on track but reading a whole bunch of review's road-wise they are amazing lol...

It's not just the trumpet length that accounts to the move in torque it's the overall tact length which includes the inlet manifold and speaking with Sandy I remember him saying this length was best suited overall to the 8V engines. But again only time will tell exactly how things will pan out

Sorry Wayne I forgot to quote you
The cage will be fitted in the three weeks which I have between taking it off the road and the track day at brands. But I won't be spraying the interior for quite a while as it's really only cosmetic so I want to make sure the car is running/handling well first then I'll concentrate on the nice things
Again same with the mapping anytime between 21st November and 17th December..I can't wait!!
