contract upgrade, what phone to go for?
so my contracts almost up... and i've been given the option to upgrade and get a new phone.
i phoned them up sunday and settled for the sony ericsson xperia ray, mainly because i want a decent camera on a phone, i've got this now and i'm on my 14 day trial period to see if i like the phone or not, its a little small and diffucult to get used to, also i'm not really a fan of touch screen phones but that seems to be where all phones are going so i dont really have a choice, i was going to get the new blackberry bold which has the qwerty but, but i've also looked into the Samsung Omnia W and the Samsung Galaxy S2.
basically, whats a good phone? any recommendations? what do people have?
my last phone was the innov8, fantastic phone  but it just broke all the time and was really slow making calls - i can upgrade to pretty much anything, but i dont want an iphone, i've got a 3gs but i never use it, iphones are uncool as fuck

yeah loads of people rate these phones, but i've never used one, the ray is android at the moment but i dont think much of it

Sorry, but I said I hated Iphons till I got one.
Now there is really no other phone for me.
Benn without mine for about 2 weeks now and I'm really struggling!

also the iphone camera is just terrible
and i'd prefer not having to use itunes, and having my own ringtones etc

Samsung's maybe the best Android phone on the market but there still made like shit. HTC and Apple build quality is much superior. I've got an iPhone 4 and tbh I never really have problems with it however for some of the things I want to be able to do an Android phone would be better. For the average user though iPhone seems much better as its simple to use.

Agree with this.. The masses certainly love it.
Build quality though? Iphone? You gotta be joking. They're all made in China.
Not being able to set a custom ringtone out of the box is fucking lols.

iPhone 4s, has an 8mega pixle camera iirc
With regards to not having a custom ringtone out of the box, yes it is very annoying. Although all you need to do is download an App for free and can have a new custom ringtone
