Is the plate fully waterproof? Just looks a bit half-arsed imo. But never the less better than having the sunroof in and weighing you down
You had your car weighed recently Stew?

Never had it weighed tho. No point the figure will be nothing ground breaking. Bit like dyno testing knowing the figure wont make me go any quicker.

It was £400'ish last time I had quote for remove, fit and paint of standard roof skin OR he could do what he's done and spend the other £380 on more important parts of his build.

mark14311 or whatever his bloody name is lol charges a reasonable £300 all in. that is with paint, labour and parts. what i have done cost me £10 on a pack of rivets and a gun. and that my friend is what most saxos are about... budget builds. built at home.
shes no show winner and the money saved could buy a track day or two...
i didnt add 3 kilo. the plate over the sunroof weighed 3kilo but the sunroof was 7 kilo so i have had a saving of 4

That is very reasonable by Mark, if your not bothered about looks for an all out track car you cant go wrong with £10

end off the day this car is now built for one purpose....to track
who car if it looks half arsed? it has battle scars and EVERY track car will have them.
imo the sunroof idea is a good un stew. looking forwadd to seeing the coilovers and the new wishbones and seeing how theycompare with thw s/c on around cadwell
have you thought about going lighter? ie polycarbs, fibreglass boot etc etc?

good grip wet or dry. Would like sidewalls to be a bit harder on the r1r. R888 better tho in every aspect but price.
